Discipleship
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 (CSB)
Why We Do Discipleship
Discipleship is how Christians in take ownership towards building the kingdom of God and pouring ourselves into one another. In discipleship, more spiritually mature brothers and sisters pour into and invest in their younger counterparts by teaching, mentoring, and encouraging them. We believe that this is a vital part of our calling as believers. That is: to lead and by led by others ahead of us just as Jesus commanded Peter in John 21:15.
What is SALT?
SALT stands for: “Serving and Leading Together” and is the discipleship ministry at TLC. The purpose of SALT is making disciples and building a legacy of faithful followers of Christ.
Salt Life at TLC
TLC’s SALT model of discipleship mimics a framework like that of the early church. In Acts 2, we see that the church members pray, break bread, and dig into the Word together. Disciplers (salts) are responsible for one or more disciples (saltees). Salts are expected to meet with their saltees on a regular basis and are also held accountable for their spiritual growth.
